DTM Feeder

A feeder (aka hopper) serves two basic functions.

First, it acts as a reserve, holding fiber until it is needed. The feeder can be fed by four means:

  • Hand
  • Extended Apron
  • Bale Breaker
  • Distributor / Air Box

    • Second it meters the fiber out to the next machine in the process. Examples are:

  • Weigh Pan
  • Shaker Chute
  • Wire Opener
